MAP testing.... a joke

I have too many complaints about the map test to write them all down but here are the biggest ones.
1. The tests are ridiculously easy, which isn't a bad thing when taking them, but theres just not really a point in my mind.
2. They give us 4 hours to take a test which takes most of 25 minutes (maybe the ACT should look into this, since that test actually matters)
3. There is absoutly no incentive for us to even try, really what do we get out of this? NOTHING
4. The Juniors get completly screwed because not only have we taken this the last two years, next year when we were scheduled to get to stay home and sleep in until 1130 for a week, they decided to make this the last year, so the one good thing MAP testing creates, they get rid of it right before the juniors get to take advantage of it.
The Royals are 2-0 and are winning their third game right now in the bottom of the 6th, and just like i said earlier in this blog, we are going to be good, and maybe even better than i thought. If we can get no name pitches such as Brian Bannister to pitch 7 scoreless innings giving up only two hits we will be at the top of the AL central come september. i know this is only two games but atleast its a start we have only been 2-0 twice since 1993 so something is going right

Final Four

Well after the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament complete, we have two 12 seeds still alive, and 2 number 2 seeds knocked out. After next round both of the 12 seeds will be knocked out as the 12 seeds are a 19-0 vs number one seeds. I'm finally excited for the final four, For a few reasons.

Number One Reason: I dont have to look at jokiam Noah's nasty hair anymore to watch a final four game.

Number Two Reason: There will hopefully be 4 premier teams so i wont have to watch a team like George Mason get torn apart once they finally play a decent team that decides not to choke

Number Three Reason: Within days i wont have to listen to a 65 year old dick Vitale try and act like he is 4 when giving his predicitions for games

All Kansas City Sports doomed?

We all know it doesn't look like the Chiefs or the Royals will not win a championship anytime soon..... but now our Arena Fooball team the Kansas City Brigade are two weeks into their season, and guess what their record is.... 0-2, i know this is very early in the season, but its starting to seem like all Kansas City sports are doomed and our city really won't win a championship (let alone make the playoffs) in any sport in the near future

Finally the Big 12 Basketball tournament has come back to Kansas City, this time to a brand new venue in the Sprint Center. Although, If you want to go to the game you might want to look for tickets on ebay, not for a cheaper price, for more convience. The Sprint Center has made it completely impossible to purchase tickets. Not only did they put the smallest amount of tickets out for the public in the history of the event, but they made it even more impossible to get one of those tickets for the event. You had to put in an APPLICATION for tickets! i know this is a common thing now in high demand sporting events, but it seems like they could think of a better and more convient way to sale tickets.

i recently sold my 2001 mustang GT 4.6L V8 and purchased a new 2002 VW 1.8L Turbo Charged Jetta, for the better gas mileage, cheaper payments, and cheaper insurance. As much as i love getting 33 miles to the gallon and having extra money in the bank, i still miss my mustang more than ever. My advice for anyone looking at a new car, always opt for american muscle over anything else, trust me you will regret it if you don't just like i did.

I will change topics a little bit away from sports this time, and talk about a purchase i made about a year ago. About a year ago, i raced into walmart to grab a nintendo Wii off the shelf when i saw the previews on tv about a game system you could actually control. When i bought the system it came bundled with wii sports which was at the time the best game for Wii, the sad thing now one year later is, Wii Sports is still the best game for the system. There have been absolutely no good games that have came out that still use the wii movement controls effectively.
Kansas City is one of the biggest sports towns in the whole country, the chiefs practically sell out every single home game, if the royals improve (which they will) and get into a playoff race those games will become more and more like the Chiefs games atmosphere, and we have a soccer team which may not draw any type of the numbers that the chiefs or royals do, but they are still higher than most of the other comparable teams around the country. With all this said they are all playing in 2 pretty old stadiums located really in the middle of nowhere. I understand this is too late now with the tax bill just being passed to "Renovate" the stadiums but i dont understand why atleast the royals wouldn't spend some money because god knows they aren't "wasting" any on players and build a nice stadium in Downtown Kansas City, not only would this help increase the attendance rate drastically, but it would also help with the whole revitlization of downtown that the city is working on. I just wish someone would of proposed something like this before they made a plan to try and fix kaufmann and Arrowhead, I think a brand new stadium could of really helped them in a lot of ways. here is a link for the new stadium the Tampa Bay Rays are building who just like the Royals are a sub par under .500 baseball team.

Thank you Dayton Moore

As I talked about in my last post the power has shifted at Mizzou from Basketball to Football, I think Kansas City might be seeing some changes also, as the Chiefs get worse and worse every year, the Royals keep on improving, maybe not their record, but trust me they are improving, there is actually hope for the Royals. We have the one of the best GM's in the league in Dayton Moore, a brand new manager, Trey Hillman, and many upcoming stars in Mark Teahen, Billy Butler, Alex Gordon, and Luke Hochever. Although 2008 might not be the year the Royals return to their 1985 style and win another championship, but I will go out on a limb and i will say the Royals will win 78 games. Now atleast Kansas City will have atleast one decent team to put in the New renovated stadiums we just signed a tax bill for....

Thank you Gary Pinkel

I would like to thank Gary Pinkel for giving Missouri fans something to get excited for, for the next three or four years. He moved a mediocre middle of the pack big 12 north team into a national title contender. Although the basketball coach Mike Anderson hasn't quite brought the same to the hardwood. Missouri which is known as a basketball school not a football one has flip flopped the last few seasons. For every step the football team has taken into becoming an elite school the basketball team has taken one back. Not only has the basketball team not been getting results but we just had to kick of the best player on our team and suspend all of the other starters because they have been getting arrested every other weekend. Missouri will miss out on the NCAA tournament for the 5th straight year (unless a miracle goes down at the sprint center and we get an automatic birth) which will be Missouri's longest drought of an NCAA birth. We have not had a decent team since the early Quinn Synder day's and the only reason we had success then was we still had Norm Stewart's recruits such as Kareem Rush and Clearance Gilbert. Until Missouri will hire a Great Head coach who can coach a type of basketball that can be successful in the Big 12, not the 40 minutes of hell which obviously cannot work in a conference as powerful as the Big 12 is, missouri will keep missing out on the NCAA tournament and we will keep counting down the days until football season starts instead of the other way around where we used to count down the days until basketball season began.
